CPSC Recalls Various Products Made in Mainland China

The CPSC has announced a recall of the following products made in mainland China.

Candleholders. Flying Tiger Copenhagen has issued a recall for about 180 candleholders because they are flammable and can catch on fire. This recall involves candleholders shaped as a gold-coloured crocodile. They measure seven inches long by two inches wide and have a hangtag that reads “Lysestage – Candle holder” and on the back “Item # 3017653, Batch # 218377”. These products were sold at Flying Tiger Copenhagen stores nationwide from September through October 2019.

Exercise Devices. United National Closeout Stores has announced a recall of approximately 1,500 exercise devices because the handle grips on each end can break during use and cause parts to be forcefully ejected from the shaft, posing a risk of impact injury. This recall involves Ontel ISO7X isometric exercise devices about three feet long. The devices have hard plastic black handle grips on each end and two black nylon straps that extend down opposite sides of the centre metal shaft. This recall only involves isometric exercise devices with black handle grips. These products were sold at Burlington Stores nationwide from January through March 2019.

Speakers. Grace Digital Inc. is recalling approximately 88,000 speakers because the speaker’s battery can become overcharged and burst, posing an impact hazard. This recall involves the ECOXGEAR EcoBoulder Bluetooth speakers, which are black in colour with a rubber slip mat on top. The speakers are about 20 inches tall by 15 inches wide. There are four versions that have a colour accent around the front speaker and a matching rubber slip mat. A storage compartment is located on the left side of the speaker, the model number GDI-EXBM900 series is labelled on the inside door of the speaker’s storage compartment, and ECOXGEAR is printed on the front of the speakers. These products were sold at Costco stores nationwide from October 2016 to January 2017, as well as at Academy Sports, Cabela’s, Home Depot and Best Buy stores nationwide and on-line at Amazon.com from January through December 2018.
