CPSC Recalls Various Products Made in Mainland China

The CPSC has announced a recall of the following products made in mainland China.

Mugs. Boston Warehouse Trading Corp. has issued a recall for about 2,400 travel mugs because they are mislabelled as microwave safe. If microwaved, the metallic print on these mugs can spark and pose a fire hazard. This recall involves Holiday Travel mugs with black lids and a decal with “Let it Snow” or “Merry and Bright” in gold metallic lettering. The bottom portion of the mugs is red or green and the top half portion is white. The mugs are seven inches tall and have “Microwave safe” written on the backstamp under the glaze and on the wrap band. These products were sold exclusively at Meijer stores nationwide from October through November 2019.


Tricycles. Thesaurus Global Marketing Inc. has announced a recall of approximately 370 tricycles because paint on the tricycle canopy’s frame contains levels of lead that exceed the federal lead paint ban and tricycle components contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban. This recall involves Little Bambino 4 in 1 canopy children’s tricycles that can be used as a push stroller or a push, training and classic tricycle. They were sold in blue, pink or red and have a back handle, an elongated back rest, a basket, a canopy and a bell on the front handle. The Little Bambino logo is on the front of the tricycle. Model BW204 and UPC code 653981740030, 653981740092, 653981740108, 656857123326, 656857123333 or 656857123340 can be found on the product packaging. These products were sold exclusively at Amazon.com from October 2018 through June 2019.


Milk Bottles. Libbey Glass Inc. has announced a recall of approximately 44,300 milk bottles because they can break unexpectedly during use, posing a laceration hazard. This recall involves 33.5 ounce clear, colourless glass milk bottles with no markings. The bottles measure about 8.5 inches in height and 3.25 inches in width at the base. The recalled bottles came in cartons with item number 92129 and manufacturing dates of either 15 August 2019 or 31 August 2019. These bottles were sold to various food service distributors, including Edward Don & Company and the Wasserstrom Company.
