Canada Makes Preliminary Affirmative AD Determination on Steel Sheet

The Canadian Border Services Agency on 24 October made a preliminary affirmative determination in its antidumping duty investigation of certain mainland Chinese corrosion-resistant steel sheet classified under HTSCA 7210.30.0000, 7210.49.0010, 7210.49.0020, 7210.49.0030, 7210.61.0000, 7210.69.0010, 7210.69.0020, 7212.20.0000, 7212.30.0000, 7212.50.0000, 7212.50.0014, 7225.91.0000, 7225.92.0000 and 7226.99.0010. As a result of this decision, the CBSA will preliminarily assess AD duties on all appropriate entries using the rates shown below.

The Canada International Trade Tribunal has initiated the final phase of its injury investigation to determine whether the dumping of the above-mentioned merchandise has caused injury or retardation or is threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry. A public hearing in this investigation will be held on 21 January 2019 and a final determination is expected by 21 February 2019. Interested parties may also file product exclusion requests with the CITT by 20 December 2018.
