Certain Section 301 Exclusions Granted to List 1 Products Extended
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has extended for a period of 12 months (through 27 December 2020) certain Section 301 exclusions that were granted to selected List 1 products in December 2018. List 1 comprises 818 eight-digit HTSUS numbers that have been subject to an additional 25 percent tariff since 6 July 2018. The first exclusions from this tariff for List 1 goods were issued in December 2018 and are set to expire on 28 December 2019.
USTR had been considering a possible extension of these exclusions, focusing on whether the products at issue remain available only from mainland China, and has now determined to extend the exclusions in place for the following List 1 products:
- HTSUS 8418.69.0120;
- HTSUS 8525.60.1010;
- roller machines with dies for embossing paper, manually powered – HTSUS 8420.10.9080;
