Canada Issues AD Duty Order on Rebar from Hong Kong
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal on 3 May issued a final affirmative injury determination in its AD investigation of hot‑rolled deformed steel concrete reinforcing bar in straight lengths or coils, commonly identified as rebar, in various diameters up to and including 56.4 millimetres, in various finishes, excluding plain round bar and fabricated rebar products, classified under HTSCA 7213.10.0000, 7214.20.0000, 7215.90.0090 and 7227.90.0090, from Hong Kong. Also excluded from the scope of this proceeding is 10 mm diameter (10M) rebar produced to meet the requirements of CSA G30 18.09 (or equivalent standards) that is coated to meet the requirements of epoxy standard ASTM A775/A 775M 04a (or equivalent standards), in lengths from one foot (30.48 cm) up to and including eight feet (243.84 cm). As a result of the CITT’s determination, the Canada Border Services Agency will assess an AD duty of 54.0 percent on all appropriate entries from Shiu Wing Steel Limited.
Argentina Begins AD Probe of Ceramic Sanitary Ware
Argentina recently initiated an AD investigation of mainland Chinese ceramic water closet bowls, flush tanks, pedestals, washbasins and bidets classified under NCM 6910.10.00 and 6910.90.00. Argentinean Customs will begin requiring certificates of origin for subject merchandise from 15 August.
Argentina Renews AD Duty Order on Iron Pipe Fittings
Argentina has renewed for a period of five years its AD duty order on pipe and tube fittings of malleable iron with an inner diameter of less than 600 millimetres classified under NCM 7307.19.10 and 7307.19.90 from mainland China. Imports of subject merchandise will continue to face an AD duty of 295 percent, with the exception of imports from Jinan Meide Casting Co. Ltd. and Qingdao HR International Trading Co. Ltd. which will be subject to the price undertaking outlined below.

Certain specific merchandise from these companies has been excluded from the price undertaking and will continue to be subject to the regular 295 percent AD duty.
Argentina Terminates AD Probe of Spring Washers
Argentina has terminated without the imposition of any measures its AD probe of mainland Chinese steel spring washers classified under NCM 7318.21.00, as Argentinean authorities were unable to issue a finding of injury or threat of injury to a domestic industry.
Brazil Will Maintain AD Duty Order on Agricultural Tyres
Brazilian authorities have denied a motion by several importers, exporters and industry associations to reconsider the issuance in February 2017 of an AD duty order for a period of five years on mainland Chinese agricultural tyres classified under NCM 4011.61.00, 4011.69.90, 4011.92.10, 4011.92.90, 4011.99.10, 4011.62.00, 4011.63.90 and 4011.93.00. Excluded from the order are tyres of radial construction for passenger vehicles, lorries, golf carts, Gator vehicles and mining equipment.
Brazil Issues Results of Scope Review of AD Duty Order on Table Glassware
Brazilian authorities have determined that sodium-calcium glass beverage dispensers with a tap and a capacity greater than that of jugs (greater than 1.5 litres but no greater than ten litres) classified under NCM 7013.49.00 do not fall within the scope of the AD duty order on mainland Chinese table glassware classified under NCM 7013.49.00, 7013.28.00 and 7013.37.00.
