Argentina Begins AD Probe of Aluminium Alloy Road Wheels
Argentina recently initiated an AD investigation of mainland Chinese aluminium alloy road wheels with a diameter between 355.6 mm (14 inches) and 457.2 mm (18 inches), without a tyre, of the kind used in motor vehicles of heading 8703, classified under NCM 8708.70.90. Argentinean Customs will begin requiring certificates of origin for subject merchandise from 30 September.
Brazil Rescinds AD Duty Order on Bike Cranks
Brazil has rescinded the AD duty order on mainland Chinese one-piece, fauber-type cranks for bicycles classified under NCM 8714.96.00. Brazilian authorities suspended the application of this order on 23 May 2014 and have now decided to terminate the order effective 22 May 2016. Imports of subject merchandise had been subject to an AD duty of US$1.56 per kilogramme since October 2007.
Argentina Renews AD Duty Order on Food Processors
Argentina has renewed for an additional five years its AD duty order on mainland Chinese food processors or multi processors, other than manually operated, classified under NCM 8509.40.50. Subject merchandise will therefore remain subject to an AD duty of 202.79 percent.
Canada Concludes Reviews of AD/CV Duty Orders on Rebar and Steel Sinks
The Canada Border Services Agency has concluded its re-investigations of the normal values, export prices and amounts of subsidy of certain mainland Chinese (1) concrete reinforcing bar classified under HTSCA 7213.10.0000, 7214.20.0000, 7215.90.0090 and 7227.90.00.90; and (2) stainless steel sinks classified under HTSCA 7324.10.0011, 7324.10.0019, 7324.10.0021 and 7324.10.0029. Given that no responses were received from any mainland Chinese exporters or producers or the mainland Chinese government in the rebar proceeding, imports of subject merchandise will be subject to a dumping margin of 41 percent and a subsidy amount of 469 Renminbi per metric tonne.
The following mainland Chinese exporters were assigned specific normal values and amounts of subsidy in the steel sink proceeding, effective 7 July: Guangdong Dongyuan Kitchenware Industrial Co. Ltd., Guangdong Yingao Kitchen Utensils Co. Ltd., Guangzhou Komodo Kitchen Technology Co. Ltd. and Jiangmen New Star Hi-Tech Enterprise Ltd. For all other exporters, imports of subject merchandise will be subject to a dumping margin of 103.1 percent and a subsidy amount of 264.94 Renminbi per unit.
