Argentina Initiates AD Investigation on Steel Wheels
Argentinean authorities have initiated an antidumping duty investigation on mainland Chinese steel wheels with a nominal diameter equal to or greater than 444.5 millimetres (17.5 inches) but no greater than 622.33 mm (24.5 inches) and a nominal width equal to or greater than 152.4 mm (six inches), of a kind used in buses, lorries, trailers and semi-trailers, classified under NCM 8708.70.90 and 8716.90.90.

Canada to Issue AD/CV Duty Orders on Sucker Rods
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal on 14 December issued a final affirmative threat of injury determination in its AD and CV investigations of mainland Chinese sucker rods, including pony rods, with or without couplings attached and with or without guides attached, manufactured to American Petroleum Institute 11B specifications, equivalent standards or proprietary standards, including in a finished or semi-finished state, made of solid steel, including carbon, alloy and special grades of steel, of 2.5 inches (63.5 millimetres) or less in diameter of rod body, with stated measurements subject to permissible tolerances, classified under HTSCA 8413.91.0010.

As a result of the CITT’s determination, the Canada Border Services Agency will assess AD and CV duties on all appropriate entries using the rates shown in the table below.

Argentina Begins AD Anti-circumvention Review of Fans
Argentina has initiated a proceeding to determine whether imports of certain fans classified under NCM 8414.51.10, 8414.51.90 and 8414.59.90 and declared as originating in Vietnam are circumventing the AD duty order on subject merchandise from mainland China.

Brazil Does Not Find Circumvention of AD Duty Order on Pens
Brazilian authorities recently issued a final determination in an anti-circumvention probe of the AD duty order on mainland Chinese ball-point pens classified under NCM 9608.10.00. Specifically, it has been determined that that import licences should be issued to imports of subject pens claiming to be produced in India by Flair Writing Industries Limited.
