Miscellaneous Canadian and Latin American AD/CV Actions on Mainland Chinese Products

Canada Renews in AD/CV Duty Orders on Wall Modules. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal recently issued a final affirmative injury determination in its expiry review of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on mainland Chinese unitised wall modules, with or without infill, including fully assembled frames, with or without fasteners, trims, cover caps, window operators, gaskets, load transfer bars, sunshades and anchor assemblies, excluding non-unitised building envelope systems such as stick systems and point-fixing systems, classified under HTSCA 7008.00.0000, 7308.30.0021, 7610.10.0010, 7610.10.0020, 7610.90.9030 and 7610.90.9090. As a result, these orders have been renewed for an additional five years.

Brazil Renews AD Duty Order on Certain Flat-Rolled Steel Products. Brazil has extended the AD duty order in place on certain mainland Chinese flat-rolled products of magnetic silicon steel, other than grain-oriented, classified under NCM 7225.19.00 and 7226.19.00. As a result, imports of subject merchandise will face the following AD duties for the next five years.

Mexico Begins Sunset Review on Carbon Steel Connections. Mexico has initiated a sunset review of the AD duty order on carbon steel connections for welding classified under HTSMX 7307.93.01. Imports of subject merchandise currently face an AD measure of US$1.05 per kilogramme.

Mexico Renews AD Duty Order on Steel Chain. Mexico’s Ministry of Economy recently issued the final results of its sunset review of the AD duty order on mainland Chinese steel chain with welded links classified under HTSMX 7315.82.02. The ministry decided to renew this order for an additional five years and maintain the AD measures on subject merchandise, specifically an AD duty of US$0.50/kg.
