Chile Launches Safeguard Action on Dairy Products
Chile on 8 March launched a safeguard investigation on milk in powder form classified under HTSCL 0402.1000, 0402.2111, 0402.2112, 0402.2113, 0402.2114, 0402.2115, 0402.2116, 0402.2117, 0402.2118, 0402.2911, 0402.2912, 0402.2913, 0402.2914, 0402.2915 0402,2916, 0402.2917, and 0402.2918, as well as gouda cheese classified under HTSCL 0406.90.10. This probe covers imports from all sources, including Hong Kong and mainland China.
Colombia Begins AD Probe of Citric Acid
Colombia has initiated an AD investigation of citric acid classified under HTSCO 2918.14.0000 from mainland China. Parties wishing to participate in this proceeding must make themselves known to the relevant authorities by 12 April.
Canada Will Not Issue AD/CV Duty Orders on PET Resin
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has issued a final negative injury determination in its AD and CV duty investigations of mainland Chinese polyethylene terephthalate resin having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.70 decilitres per gram but not more than 0.88 decilitres per gram, including PET resin that contains various additives introduced in the manufacturing process, as well as blends of virgin PET resin and recycled PET containing 50 percent or more virgin PET resin content by weight, classified under HTSCA 3907.61.0000, 3907.69.0010 and 3907.69.0090. As a result, these investigations have been terminated without the imposition of any measures.
