Miscellaneous Latin American AD Actions on Mainland Chinese Products
Mexico Preliminarily Finds Dumping on Aluminium Foil. Mexico has issued a preliminary affirmative determination in its AD investigation of aluminium foil of a thickness not exceeding 0.2 millimetres, not backed, rolled but not further worked, classified under HTSMX 7607.11.01, from mainland China. Mexican authorities have established a provisional minimum reference price of US$3.4817 per kilogramme. While imports of lower-valued items are allowed, importers are required to guarantee payment of the difference in each of those circumstances, subject to the following maximum amounts: 0.17968/kg in the case of Hangzhou Five Star Aluminium Co. Ltd., US$0.6588/kg in the case of Jiangsu Zhongji Lamination Materials Co. Ltd., and US$1.1634/kg in the case of Boxing Ruifeng Aluminium Co. Ltd. and all other exporters.
Chile Issues AD Duty Order on Steel Balls for Grinding. Chile has issued an AD duty order on mainland Chinese forged steel balls for grinding, with a diameter of less than four inches, classified under HTSCL 7326.11.10. Imports of subject merchandise, except for imports from Goldpro New Materials Co. Ltd., will face an AD duty of 5.6 percent for a period of one year from 23 May.
Brazil Updates Schedule of AD Sunset Review on Certain Steel Products. Brazil recently issued the following updated schedule for its on-going AD sunset review on certain mainland Chinese austenitic stainless steel flat-rolled products classified under NCM 7219.32.00, 7219.33.00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00 and 7220.20.90: closure of evidential phase of investigation (18 June), deadline for data and information contained in the file (8 July), issuance of technical note with essential facts under analysis to be considered in the final determination (7 August), deadline for presentation of final submissions by interested parties and end of instruction phase (27 August) and issuance by DECOM of final determination (16 September).
