Miscellaneous Latin American AD Actions on Mainland Chinese Products
Brazil Renews AD Duty Order on Garlic. Brazil has renewed its AD duty order on certain mainland Chinese fresh or refrigerated garlic classified under NCM 0703.20.10 and 0703.20.90. As a result, imports of subject merchandise will continue to face an AD duty of US$0.78 per kilogramme for the next five years.
Colombia Declines to Rescind Negative AD Determination Involving Steel Tube. Colombia has denied a request to rescind an April 2019 final negative determination in connection with an AD investigation involving certain mainland Chinese welded carbon steel tube classified under HTSCO 7306.30.1000, 7306.30.9200, 7306.30.9900, 7306.50.0000, 7306.61.0000, 7306.69.0000 and 7306.90.0000. As a result, the negative determination will stand and no AD duties will be imposed on subject merchandise.
Argentina Issues Results of AD Anti-Circumvention Review of Fans. Argentina has determined that certain fans classified under NCM 8414.51.90 that are exported by Taiwan’s New Share Limited and imported into Argentina by Goldsonic S.A. are circumventing the AD duty order on subject merchandise from mainland China.
Brazil Extends Deadline to Conclude AD Sunset Review on Tableware. Brazilian authorities recently extended for a period of up to two months from 17 November the deadline to issue final results in the on-going AD sunset review on certain mainland Chinese ceramic tableware classified under NCM 6911.10.10, 6911.10.90, 6911.90.00 and 6912.00.00. The new schedule is as follows: issuance of technical note with essential facts under analysis to be considered in the final determination (11 October), deadline for presentation of final submissions by interested parties and end of instruction phase (4 November) and issuance by SDCOM of final determination (25 November).
