New AD/CV Probes of Mainland Chinese Metal File Cabinets

The U.S. International Trade Commission has initiated the preliminary phase of antidumping and countervailing injury investigations of mainland Chinese vertical metal file cabinets classified under HTSUS 9403.10.0020 from mainland China. A schedule for these investigations will be issued shortly.

The products covered by these proceedings are free-standing vertical metal file cabinets containing extendable file storage elements, with a width of 25 inches or less and a height greater than their width. These file cabinets have bodies of carbon and/or alloy steel and/or other metals, regardless of whether painted, powder coated, galvanised, or otherwise coated for corrosion protection or aesthetic appearance. They have two to five extendable file drawers of a height that permits hanging files of either letter- or legal-sized documents.

The following are excluded from the scope of this petition: vertical file cabinets with bodies of plastic, wood or other non-metallic substances; lateral file cabinets; pedestal file cabinets; and fireproof or fire-resistant file cabinets that meet UL fire protection standard 72, class 350.
