AD Duty Order on Glycine Renewed
The USITC has issued a final affirmative injury determination in its sunset review of the AD duty order on glycine from mainland China. As a result, this order will be extended for another five years.

Scheduling of Expedited Sunset Review of AD Duty Order on Artists’ Canvas
The USITC has scheduled the expedited sunset review of the AD duty order on artists’ canvas from mainland China. The review will seek to determine whether revocation of this order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to a domestic industry within a reasonably foreseeable time. The staff report will be placed in the non-public record on 1 February and a public version will be issued thereafter. Comments and statements are due by 6 February and may not contain new factual information.

New Section 337 Investigation on Graphics Processors and DDR Memory Controllers
The USITC has instituted an investigation to determine whether imports of certain graphics processors, DDR memory controllers and products containing the same from mainland China and various other sources are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement. The products at issue in this investigation include GPUs, processors, systems-on-chip, smartphones, laptops, televisions, Bluray players and gaming systems that provide graphics processing functionality. The complainant requests that after this investigation the USITC issue a limited exclusion order as well as cease and desist orders.

Section 337 Investigation of Breathing Treatment Systems Terminated
The USITC has terminated its patent infringement investigation of certain mainland Chinese sleep-disordered breathing treatment systems and components thereof as to certain patent claims asserted by the complainants based on their withdrawal of allegations pertaining to those claims.

Section 337 Investigation of Composite Cores Terminated
The USITC has terminated without the imposition of import restrictions its Section 337 investigation of certain mainland Chinese electrical conductor composite cores and components thereof. This action follows a motion by the complainant to terminate the investigation as to the only remaining respondent because service of the complaint on that company has been unsuccessful.

Certain Matters in Section 337 Probe of Radiotherapy Systems Under Review
The USITC has determined to review certain matters in the on-going Section 337 investigation of certain mainland Chinese radiotherapy systems and treatment planning software and components thereof. The administrative law judge in charge of this proceeding will now set a new target date to complete it.
