Scheduling of Final Phase of AD/CV Injury Investigations of Propane Cylinders. The USITC has scheduled the final phase of its AD and CV injury investigations of steel propane cylinders from mainland China. The pre-hearing staff report will be placed in the non-public record on 23 May and a public version will be issued thereafter; pre-hearing briefs are due by 31 May; requests to appear at the hearing are due by 3 June; the pre-hearing conference will be held on 4 June; the hearing will be held on 6 June; post-hearing briefs are due by 18 June; and final comments are due by 12 July.
New Section 337 Investigation on Integrated Circuits.. The USITC has instituted an investigation to determine whether imports of certain integrated circuits from various sources, including mainland China, are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement. The investigation covers Intel’s 14nm or smaller Tri-Gate integrated circuits and products that contain such Intel integrated circuits, specifically microprocessors, modems, field programmable gate arrays, printed circuit boards, chipsets, laptops, desktops, computer tablets, all-in-one personal computers, notebooks, servers, board-level computers and board-level computer kits. The complainant requests that after this investigation the USITC issue a limited exclusion order as well as cease and desist orders.
Section 337 Investigation of Digital Cameras Terminated. The USITC has terminated on the basis of a settlement agreement its patent infringement investigation of certain digital cameras, software and components thereof from various sources, including mainland China.
