Preliminary Affirmative AD/CV Injury Determinations on Steel Threaded Rod. The USITC has issued a preliminary affirmative injury determination in its AD and CV investigations of carbon and alloy steel threaded rod from mainland China. As a result, the DOC will continue its AD and CV duty investigations of imports of subject merchandise, with preliminary determinations scheduled for about 17 May (CV) and 31 July (AD).

New Section 337 Investigation on Solar Cells. The USITC has instituted an investigation to determine whether imports of certain photovoltaic cells and products containing the same from various sources, including mainland China, are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement. The complainants request that after this investigation the USITC issue a limited exclusion order as well as cease and desist orders.

New Section 337 Investigation on Child Carriers. The USITC has instituted an investigation to determine whether imports of certain child carriers, components thereof and products containing the same from various sources, including mainland China, are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement. The complainant requests that after this investigation the USITC issue a general exclusion order (or, in the alternate, a limited exclusion order) as well as cease and desist orders.

IPR Probe of Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems Further Amended. The on-going Section 337 investigation of certain electronic nicotine delivery systems and components thereof from mainland China has been further amended to correct the name of one of the respondents and terminate the proceeding with respect to certain respondents.
