AD/CV Duty Orders on Wind Towers Renewed. The USITC has issued a final affirmative injury determination in its sunset reviews of the AD and CV duty orders on utility scale wind towers from mainland China. As a result, these orders will be extended for another five years.
Expedited Sunset Reviews of AD/CV Duty Orders on Magnets and Sodium Nitrite, AD Duty Orders on Pipe Fittings and Steel Nails. The USITC has decided to conduct expedited sunset reviews of the AD and CV duty orders on raw flexible magnets and sodium nitrite as well as the AD duty orders on non-malleable cast iron pipe fittings and steel nails from mainland China. As opposed to full reviews, expedited reviews do not include a public hearing or the issuance of questionnaires.
Remedies in IPR Probe of Industrial Automation Systems and Components. The USITC has imposed a general exclusion order in the Section 337 investigation of certain industrial automation systems and components thereof from Hong Kong and mainland China that infringe the complainant’s asserted trademark, including control systems, controllers, visualisation hardware, motion and motor controls systems, networking equipment, safety devices and power supplies. Additionally, the USITC has (i) issued a cease and desist order directed to respondent Fractioni (Hongkong) Ltd. and (ii) set at 100 percent of entered value the bond amount under which infringing goods may continue to enter the United States during the 60-day period the president has to review the USITC’s remedy.
