Preliminary Affirmative AD/CV Injury Determination on Wooden Cabinets and Vanities. The USITC has issued a preliminary affirmative injury determination in its AD and CV investigations of wooden cabinets and vanities from mainland China. Remedy Comments Sought in IPR Probe of LED Light Devices. In its Section 337 investigation of LED light devices, LED power supplies and components thereof from mainland China the USITC’s presiding administrative law judge has made a final initial determination that the importation, sale for importation and sale in the United States after importation of these products are violating certain U.S. patents. The USITC is inviting public comments by 3 May on (i) the form of remedy, if any, that should be ordered if a violation is found, (ii) the effects of any such remedy on the public health and welfare, competitive conditions in the U.S. economy, U.S. production of articles that are like or directly competitive with those that are subject to investigation, and U.S. consumers, and (iii) the amount of the bond under which infringing articles could continue to enter the United States during the 60-day period the president has to review any USITC-ordered remedy. The USITC has also determined to extend the target date for the competition of the investigation until 18 June.
