Steel Propane Cylinders Will Face AD/CV Duties. The USITC has issued a final affirmative injury determination in its AD and CV investigations of steel propane cylinders from mainland China. As a result, the DOC will issue AD and CV duty orders on imports of subject merchandise.

Preliminary Affirmative AD/CV Injury Determination on Steel Staples. The USITC has issued a preliminary affirmative injury determination in its AD and CV investigations of certain collated steel staples from mainland China. As a result, the DOC will continue its AD and CV duty investigations of imports of subject merchandise, with preliminary determinations scheduled for about 30 August (CV) and 16 November (AD).

Revised Schedule of AD Probe of Mattresses. The USITC recently issued a revised schedule for the on-going AD duty investigation of mattresses from mainland China. The pre-hearing staff report will be placed in the non-public record on 19 September, pre-hearing briefs are due by 26 September, requests to appear at the hearing are due by 8 October, the pre-hearing conference will be held on 10 October, the hearing will be held on 15 October, post-hearing briefs must be filed by 22 October, and final party comments are due by 14 November.

Remedies in IPR Probe of Arrow Rests. The USITC has imposed a general exclusion order in the Section 337 investigation of certain full-capture arrow rests and components thereof from mainland China. Additionally, the USITC has set at 100 percent of entered value the bond amount under which infringing goods may continue to enter the United States during the 60-day period the president has to review the USITC’s remedy.

IPR Probe on Semiconductor Devices and Integrated Circuits Amended. The USITC has decided not to review a decision by the administrative law judge in the on-going Section 337 investigation of certain semiconductor devices, integrated circuits and consumer products containing the same from mainland China to amend the complaint and notice of investigation to correct certain information and add a respondent as well as certain allegations.
