Scheduling of Final Phase of AD/CV Injury Investigation of Fabricated Steel. The USITC has scheduled the final phase of its AD and CV injury investigations of fabricated structural steel from mainland China. The pre-hearing staff report will be placed in the non-public record on 13 January 2020 and a public version will be issued thereafter; pre-hearing briefs are due by 21 January; requests to appear at the hearing are due by 22 January; the pre-hearing conference will be held on 27 January; the hearing will be held on 28 January; post-hearing briefs are due by 4 February; and final comments are due by 20 February.

New IPR Probe on Toner Cartridges. The USITC has instituted an investigation to determine whether imports of certain toner cartridges, components thereof and systems containing the same from Hong Kong and mainland China are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement. The complainants request that after this investigation the USITC issue a general exclusion order (or, alternately, a limited exclusion order) as well as cease and desist orders.
