Investigation into Economic Effects of Solar Cell Safeguard Modification. The USITC has instituted an investigation into the probable economic effects on the domestic crystalline silicon photovoltaic cell and module manufacturing industry of modifying the safeguard measure currently in place on imports of subject merchandise. Written submissions in connection with this investigation are due by 6 January and responses to any such submissions are due by 13 January.

New IPR Probe of Pick-Up Truck Folding Bed Cover Systems. The USITC has initiated an investigation to determine whether imports of certain pick-up truck folding bed cover systems and components thereof from mainland China are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement. The complainants request that after this investigation the USITC issue a general exclusion order (or, alternately, a limited exclusion order) as well as cease and desist orders.
